Commercial Metals Company Acquires Two Rebar
Companies
Dallas, TX - Commercial Metals Company headquartered
in Dallas, Texas, has acquired substantially all of the operating assets
of E.L. Wills, Inc., a rebar fabrication company in Fresno, California.
This facility will be owned by CMC Steel Fabricators, Inc. and operated
under the name of E.L. Wills as part of the CMC Steel Group.
CMC also acquired substantially all of the operating assets of D&G
Enterprises, Inc., a rebar fabrication company in Helotes, Texas, located
near the city of San Antonio. This facility will be owned by CMC Steel
Fabricators, Inc. and operate under the name of D&G Enterprises as
part of the CMC Steel Group.
E.L. Wills has been in the steel industry since 1983 as a reinforcing
steel subcontractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction
through-out the states of California and Nevada. Edwin Wills, founder
and former owner, will remain with the company as branch manager.
Founded in 1968 by Wilbur "Junior" Davis, D&G Enterprises
has been a family-owned and operated company of approximately 30 employees,
supplying fabricated reinforced steel to the central Texas market. In
addition, the company also operates a mini-storage business adjacent to
the facility. Wilbur Davis, son of the founder, will serve as general
manager for the facility.
