NASCAR event is environmentally responsible
NASCAR fans had the opportunity to support the environment, as well as their favorite drivers, during the Budweiser Shootout and the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway (DIS).

To help collect aluminum cans and plastic bottles, The Budweiser Green Team and DIS employees provided recycling bags to campers as they entered the Speedway infield and the West lot camping grounds. The program is simple - campers put aluminum and plastic beverage containers in recycling bags and when full, left them in front of their campsite for pickup.
To encourage guests to recycle, the Budweiser Green Team rewarded campers who were "caught" recycling with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. recycling posters and other race merchandise.
In addition, more than 400 red Budweiser recycling containers were located throughout the concourse, Fan Walk and corporate hospitality areas. |
