EPA awards Pull-A-Part for participation
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presented
Georgia-based Pull-A-Part, LLC, with a plaque commemorating their participation
in the agency’s National Partnership for Environmental Priorities.
Pull-A-Part is headquartered in Atlanta and has 21 locations, including
four in the state of Georgia. As part of the EPA’s National Partnership
for Environmental Priorities, each Pull-A-Part location will remove nearly
50,000 gallons of fluids that would otherwise pollute water and will
reduce landfill waste by 22 percent.
Additionally, Pull-A-Part will remove all accessible, mercury containing
convenience lighting switches from trunks and under hoods of end of life
vehicles purchased at each location.
