Lens on Litter Focuses Attention
First place was awarded to Mike Cassidy, Jr. for "Reflections
of Litter", second to Karen Hohman with "Is Plastic OK?" and third place
to "Brenda Morgan with "1107 & 1109". All photos were taken in the state
of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania - For 19 years running,
the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) has sponsored the "Lens on
Litter" photo contest to raise public awareness of the litter problem
in communities across Pennsylvania. More than 4000 photos have been submitted
since its inception and comprise a "Rogue's Galley" of litterbugs
at work.
Throughout the year, the photos are loaned to schools and community groups
allied in the ongoing fight against litter. Winning photos are displayed
across Pennsylvania, including the PRC offices in Ridley Creek State Park,
the ECO center in Pittsburgh, and the offices of the Pennsylvania Department
of Environ-mental Protection in Harrisburg.
