Waste Industries USA, Inc. reports record earnings
Waste Industries USA, Inc. reported preliminary results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2006.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2006, revenue increased 1.9% to $81.1 million, compared to $79.6 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Operating income for the fourth quarter 2006 increased 32.9% to $12.0 million, compared to $9.0 million.
Income from continuing operations for the fourth quarter 2006 was $5.2 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, a 32.5% increase from income from continuing operations of $3.9 million, or $0.29 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2005. Net income for the fourth quarter was $5.4 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, a 35.9% increase from net income of $4.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2005.
For the twelve months ended December 31, 2006, revenue increased 7.4% to $327.5 million, compared to $305.1 million for the same period in 2005. Operating income increased 40.1% to $40.4 million, compared to $28.8 million for the twelve months ended December 31, 2005. |
