The Sennebogen Group of Straubing, Germany has announced plans for a significant expansion of its manufacturing facilities.
Sennebogen will construct a new assembly plant for its lines of material handling and lifting equipment on a site totaling more than 1 million square foot in the Straubing-Sand industrial park, not far from the company’s current headquarters in Hebbelstraße, Straubing.

Sennebogen employs about 1,000 people across its three production plants. Two equipment manufacturing facilities are located in Germany (Straubing and Wackersdorf) and a steel plant is located in Hungary. Sennebogen America maintains a parts warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, which recently underwent a major expansion.
The site in Hebbelstraße, Straubing will continue to be the firm’s headquarters and will provide various production areas. Construction of the new factory premises is due to start in the spring of 2007. Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2008.
