EPA cites Perma-Fix
Chicago, IL— U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency Region 5 has cited Perma-Fix of Dayton, Ohio,
for alleged clean-air violations at the company’s wastewater
and used oil processing plant.
EPA alleged that Perma-Fix modified
its used oil operations and constructed wastewater treatment equipment
without applying for the necessary air pollution control permits.
These are preliminary findings
of violations. To resolve them, EPA may issue a compliance order,
assess an administrative penalty or bring suit against the company.
