Autocar receives $167,000 state training grant
Autocar LLC has received a state training acceleration grant of $167,350 to train 98 employees in “lean certification”. The company will match the state grant with $326,469 of its own funds to offer the training.
Lean certification is a training program that focuses on the elimination of wasteful or redundant steps from the manufacturing process.
The employees will receive customized certificates of applied learning and college credit from Vincennes University.
The Training Acceleration Grant program provides financial assistance to companies and organizations seeking to expand the skills of their existing workforce through training programs that result in industry-recognized credentials. This grant program is the state’s primary job training program offered to Indiana businesses for incumbent workers. |
