Clean Harbors facility receives EPA recertification

Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. received the United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) recertification at the star level for its Lone Mountain Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF).

Lone Mountain was the first commercial TSDF to receive VPP Star status and once again leads the industry, becoming the first to receive recertification. VPP is a comprehensive health and safety process that requires employee involvement, management support, and cooperation with OSHA. Recipients demonstrate a strong management and employee safety culture that ensures a safe and healthful workplace environment, with occupational injury and illness incidence rates below the state and national averages for companies within the same industry classification.
