WM acquires lamp recyclers
Waste Management, Inc. (WMI)
announced that its WM LampTracker
subsidiaries have acquired assets
of H.T.R., Inc. and Earth Protection
Services, Inc. which will bring
additional scale and capabilities
to its WM LampTracker compact
fluorescent light bulb recycling
business.
These acquisitions fit into
Waste Management’s strategy
and primary financial goals
of earnings growth, margin expansion,
strong cash flow generation
and increasing the Company’s
long-term return on invested
capital.
In addition to its existing
Roseville, Minnesota lamp processing
facility, Waste Management’s
WM LampTracker® subsidiaries
now have processing facilities
in Kaiser, Missouri, Glendale,
Arizona and Williamston, South
Carolina. The other operational
locations are Phoenix, Arizona,
Mira Loma, California, Tigard,
Oregon, Round Rock, Texas and
Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
WM LampTracker provides total-care
solutions for the storage, handling,
transport and recycling of fluorescent
lamps for small, medium and
large-scale businesses across
the United States, as well as
for residential consumers through
Waste Management’s Think Green
From Home program. In addition
to fluorescent bulb recycling,
WM LampTracker also provides
recycling services for other
universal wastes such as batteries
and small electronics.
