Metech opens Malaysian recycling facility

Worcester, MA— Metech International announced the opening of their new recycling facility located in Penang, Malaysia. The 25,000 square foot high- security facility is specifically designed for the de-manufacturing and certified destruction of materials and systems from the electronics industry.

This fully permitted and operational facility is both ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified. Metech Malaysia further extends the reach of Metech’s Accountable Resource Management (ARM) program. This ARM program, the only one of its kind in the electronics recycling industry, assures customers complete product stewardship through step-by-step tracking and accountability for all material handling. This is a critical issue in the face of growing global concerns about “cradle-to-grave” environmental responsibility and information security. ARM protocols provide an accountable service platform for Metech’s multinational customers.
