EPA settles with Precision Metalsmiths
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region
5 has reached an agreement with Precision Metalsmiths Inc. of Cleveland,
Ohio to settle alleged hazardous waste violations. A penalty of
$59,500 will be paid.
Precision Metalsmiths, located at 1081 E. 200th
St., was cited for violating Resource Conservation and Recovery
Act (RCRA) requirements for managing hazardous waste, including
storing without a permit, and for failing to provide adequate training,
maintain training and job description records and a complete list
of emergency equipment in its contingency plan.
The company operates a casting foundry.
