C&D recycler opens facility in Florida
Marpan Recycling opened at the end of May in Tallahassee,
Florida. The new facility is expected to lower landfill use by construction
and demolition companies in the region.
Marpan estimates that 70 percent of all material brought to the facility
will be recycled.
The owner, Kim Williams, said they put an estimated 2,000 tons through
the facility during a 3-week testing run to fine-tune the system. The
processing capacity is expected to be about 500 tons per day.
Marpan's facility is located on Woodville Highway in Tallahassee and
can process a range of material types including steel, aluminum, glass,
plastics, wood and various other building materials.
