National Association of Demolition Contractors Awards Scholarships

Doylestown, PA - The National Association of Demolition Contractors named the winners of five college scholarships awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving the local community while maintaining high academic achievement. One $5,000 scholarship was awarded by NADC to Nichole Mendinsky, of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania. Haines & Kibblehous of Skippack, Pennsylvania nominated Miss Mendinsky, who ranks third in her class at Pine Grove Area High School. She will attend Penn-sylvania State University.

Pilesgrove New Jersey demolition contractor Richard E. Pierson Construc-tion Company nominated Lyndsay Rob-inson of Marlton, New Jersey. A senior at Cherokee High School, Miss Robinson will attend Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.

Greg Blair, Trackhose Services of Overland Park, Kansas, nominated Scott Shorten of Stilwell, Kansas for the Bill & Wanda Baker Scholarship. Mr. Shorten, ranks first in his class at Blue Valley High School and plans to major in pre-med.

Saint Paul, Minnesota contractor Carl Bolander and Sons Co. nominated James Langer of North Oaks, Minnesota, for the Patrick H. O'Rourke Scholarship. He is a chemistry major at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Southern California Chapter Scholarship was awarded to Joan Blazucki. MARCOR Remediation, Inc. of Hunt Valley, Maryland, nominated Ms. Blazucki. Director of corporate communications at MARCOR, she is pursuing a doctorate in communication design at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
