German trade fair reorganized with new focus
on environmental technology
The formerly known ENTSORGA trade
fair, now known as ENTSORGA-ENTECO, has undergone some major changes.
The next event will carry a new name, has reduced show days and
will occupy 4 entirely new halls. The show will have a stronger
focus on environmental technology.
Mette Petersen, president of
the subsidiary of the organizer, Koelmesse, Inc. Chicago, indicated:
“The new ENTSORGA-ENTECO will showcase all segments of the
value added chain in the waste management and environmental technology
industries. This is a considerable change from the past and will
open up new business opportunities for our exhibitors and attendees”.
ENTSORGA-ENTECO will take place
from October 24-27, 2006 in Cologne, Germany. The organizer expects
1,000 exhibitors and close to 50,000 attendees from all over the
world. Koelnmesse Inc. will provide USA Pavilion space for this
event and anticipates strong demand among U.S. companies. Product
groups will consist of Waste Management, Recycling, Waste Water,
Incineration, Logistics, Pollution Control, Occupational Safety
and Noise Protection.
Says Darrin Stern, U.S. sales
manager at Koelnmesse Inc.: “The weak U.S. dollar compared
to the EURO has lately helped exports of U.S. environmental technology
and services. Pent up demand for investments into Water &
Waste Water technology in Eastern Europe should provide an additional
incentive for U.S. companies to expand internationally”.
