California approves disinfection system
Eliminates need to transport pathological
waste
Sanitec Industries, Inc. announced that the California
Department of Health has approved its patented zero-emission Microwave
Healthcare Waste Disinfection System™ for processing pathological
waste. Currently, California, requires pathological waste from medical
procedures to be trucked out of state for processing.
Unlike incineration and autoclaves, which transform
biohazard material into other dangerous waste products including
dioxin, Sanitec’s system is a self-contained disposal unit
that utilizes a patented microwave disinfection system to eliminate
bacterial and viral pathogens. Most other disposal processes involve
transporting highly pathogenic waste on public roads to off-site
processing facilities. |
