Funds raised by recycling donated
Glencoe Camp Resort and Anheuser-Busch Recycling
will be donating more than $2,500 to the Greater Sturgis Lifecare
Foundation. This donation was raised through recycling efforts at
Glencoe Camp Resort during the 66th annual Sturgis Bike Rally.
Glencoe Camp Resort teamed up with Anheuser-Busch
and Ace Steel and Recycling to place more than 600 recycling bins
throughout the campground. Campsites also received blue recycling
bags to collect their used aluminum beverage containers. During
the Bike Rally, Glencoe campers collected more than 5,000 lbs of
aluminum and 2,500 lbs of plastic.
Anheuser-Busch’s environmental partner,
Living Lands and Waters acted as the Budweiser Green Team and assisted
the Glencoe’s maintenance staff with the collection of used
beverage containers from campsites. In addition to assisting Glencoe’s
maintenance staff, the Budweiser Green Team promoted recycling as
they walked through the campgrounds and rewarded adults who were
caught recycling with Budweiser recycling souvenirs. |
