Johnson Controls honored by the MMSDC

Johnson Controls, a global diversified company in the building and automotive industries, was recognized by the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) as a 2013 Corporation of the Year, Tier 1 – Manufacturing Category for the company’s achievements in developing and working with diverse suppliers.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized by the MMSDC with this award,” said Charles A. Harvey, chief diversity officer and vice president of Community Affairs. “I’m proud to say that this year Johnson Controls’ business units have contributed to more than $640 million in diverse spending with 52 minority suppliers in Michigan.”

This year marks the 14th time in the past 18 years that Johnson Controls has been honored with this award from the MMSDC.

In addition, Kristen Cebulski, senior buyer for Johnson Controls Automotive Seating, was recognized as Buyer of the Year by MMSDC.
