AF&PA to recognize outstanding paper recycling efforts
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has announced that entry forms for the 2008 AF&PA Recycling Awards are available on www.paperrecyclingawards.org. In 2008, AF&PA will recognize outstanding business, community, school-wide, and university paper recycling efforts.
A record 53.4 percent (53.5 million tons) of the paper consumed in the United States was recovered for recycling in 2006. The industry has set a goal to recover 55 percent by 2012.
AF&PA Recycling Award winners will be flown to New York City for AF&PA’s 131st Annual Paper Week where they will receive a monetary prize and a piece of original paper art.
Individuals in successful business, community, school-wide and university paper recycling programs are encouraged to apply for one of the following:

Award.

Award.
